At Sun Up We Ride

After two years and two different tries, tomorrow we hope to begin our trip to Acadia, ME.  This is a different type of trip for us this time.  Ordinarily we have the trip planed to the "n th" degree but this one is not this way.  The only set in stone part of the trip is that we are to be in Acadia on Friday.  From Acadia the trip is "what do you want to do".  Our overview is to go from Acadia after 5 days then begin a northward trek to Prince Edward Island and from there over to Nova Scotia.  Days at these locations will depend on what we learn on the trip from other RVer's and what we have learned from the literature we have read.

Not being sure what traffic will be like and the availability to find campgrounds.   The little knowledge that we have about roads and campgrounds tells us the campgrounds will be crowded and old.  Not traveling much in the Northeast makes us a little apprehensive of the quality and traffic.  We can sit here and be concerned about it but there is only one way to find out for sure and that is to GO.

Our RV is  24' Dynamax Isata 3.  This is the smallest unit we have ever had however, it drives like a dream.  This little unit does not give me a lot of comfort since we have had lots of little nit-picky issues ever since we have had it.  Yesterday, we had to make a special trip to the dealer to find a problem with the electric side of our refrigerator.  A stupid little fuse that was nearly in accessible was the culprit.  We are hoping that this is the last problem.

The last two planned trips to Acadia have been cancel because of injuries.  Last year it was Jan and a fall the day before and this year it was my back.  Thanks to modern medicine and perseverance we are both ready to go.  However, yesterday, Jan feel while out walking and scraped herself.
She is not telling me today, but is suspect there is some soreness.  She is tough so if nothing happens we will be off on Monday August 31(Travis our grandson's birthday).

I'll try and keep you posted on our adventure.
