Day 2 Columbia, MO to Mitchell, SD

Long, Long day. After Kansas City we dropped into a river bottom that was as straight as an arrow and as flat as a pancake. I tried to think of something original but as long as this day was nothing is coming. There were motorcycles everywhere. Sturgis rally is this next week and most of the RV's were "toyhaulers" filled with motorcycles. Half of the campground's rv's are either towing motorcycles or were toyhaulers. These folks were having a great time. Tomorrow, we have reservations in Sturgis. This will be truely a sightseeing adventure. One of the things I've noted and tried to get a picture of is, that when a women is riding behind a rider that they are generally at least 60# overweight and all of that is bare naked. I hope I can show this later. By the way the bugs are all over our windsheild hard to make a good photo but we try.
Tonight when we got to Mitchell we went to see the "Corn Palace". They want to celebrate what we have seen all day long along the highway corn. This "palace" is covered in real ears of corn. They used different colors of corn to get the shading effects.
Time for bed. The only problem is that here it is nearly 9:oo and the sun is still up.
