I hope that you saw the pictures posted from yesterday. I had to edit the post to add the pictures back. Today we went to see the West Glacier and Apgar areas. They are on the more tourist side of the park. It was a good trip over. First we pasted through open range and were greeted by cattle and horses both on the road. We passed through the Marias Pass, we crossed the Continental divide at the lowest pass north of New Mexico, about 5500'. Arriving in West Glacier we felt we were in a different park, kind of like the difference in Townsend and Gatlinburg. We took in a couple of sites but had to hit the road to see the west side of Glacier. The road we took went up through a forest fire area and returned along the North Fork of the Flathead river. Nothing spectacular like the east side. Returning we stopped by a place called Goat Lick, named because there is a mineral in the rocks that attracts mountain goats. And just like he was "on the clock" there was a goat on the side of the bluff. This goat was truly defying gravity.
